I was looking through the site, and a cumbersome, questioning, long winded thought stumbled into my head.
The truth.
Reality is a warped, twisted truth, seen through pre-coloured glasses with large plastic noses and fake eye-brows above. What is the truth but a biased opinion seen in a different light? Math never lies, does it? What if it does? What if math is backwards, and a complete lie? Isn't that the truth, if it is true? If it's not, who says so? One person says that the world is flat, and all of us say that it's round, but who knows? Maybe they truly believe that the world is round, but they don't know how to say it, so they say that it is flat, and believe that is how it's said? As said in a wonderfull book called What Happened to Lani Garver, what is life but smoke and mirrors? A convienient truth is better than a hurtful truth, right? But that's a lie. If a lie is the truth than who do you believe? The lier, or the truthful one? How do you tell them apart? Do you simply go with the more painful option, as that is more likely to be the truth? The truth hurts, right? So isn't a lie better? Isn't the truth whatever we believe in? So, if I believe that the lie is the truth, than it is the truth, and the truth is the lie which was convieniently overlooked, right?
